Learn about cabin and yurt camping

Reservations can be made 4 months in advance of arrival date


Cabins offer the following:

  • A pellet or wood-burning stove
  • Bunk beds
  • Table and chairs or benches
  • Access to drinking water
  • Picnic table and fire pit

Many cabins are accessible and some offer electricity. You must bring your own linens and utensils. Cabin sizes very and accommodate 3-12 people. 

Cabins are available at 3 state parks:


A yurt is a circular, domed structure supported by a wooden frame and covered in heavy, durable canvas.

Each yurt features:

  • Bunk beds
  • Table and chairs or benches
  • Skylights
  • Screened windows
  • Locking doors
  • Access to drinking water

Most yurts are accessible and offer electricity.  They are not heated, and are available for the main camping season only. You must bring your own linens and utensils. Yurt sizes vary and accommodate 4-6 people.

Things to know before you go

  • Reservations are required.
  • There are no restrooms in cabins or yurts. There are, however, nearby restrooms. 
  • No cooking is allowed inside cabins or yurts.
  • Bring your own charcoal or your own propane grill for outside cooking.
  • Electricity is limited and does not accommodate a heater and is not sufficiently reliable for use with medical devices or equipment.
  • No pets allowed in cabins or yurts or on the sites.
