Overview of Shawme-Crowell State Forest

This 700-acre pitch pine and scrub oak forest is located on the western end of Cape Cod, and offers more than 15 miles of trails for hiking and horseback riding. Camping is a favorite activity from early summer to the fall.

Hours for Shawme-Crowell State Forest

Dawn to dusk

Due to late winter storm events that caused extensive tree damage throughout the park, some trails may have debris and/or trees down. Currently, the agency is in the process of clearing the debris. Visitors are advised to use caution on all trails.

8:00 am-10:00 pm

Parking available with campsite. Two parking spots per campsite.

Day use park visitors may can park at the Shawme-Crowell State Forest gate.

Camping is $17/night for Massachusetts residents and $27/night for non-residents. Small yurts are $45/night for Massachusetts residents and $60/night for non-residents. Large yurts are $55/night for Massachusetts residents and $70/night for non-residents.
