About the Throat Area/ Charles River Working Group

The goal of the Throat Area/ Charles River Working Group was to prioritize design alternatives for the Charles River shoreline, its parklands, and the Paul Dudley White Path. 

The Throat Area/ Charles River Working Group met from July to August, 2024. The Core Working Group included the following representatives:

  • Charles River Conservancy
  • Charles River Watershed Association
  • City of Boston
  • City of Cambridge
  • Community Representative
  • Conservation Law Foundation

  • WalkMassachusetts

The Agency Chair of this meeting was MassDOT Environmental, and the Co-chair was the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR).
