M.G.L. c. 94C, § 19F, as implemented by 105 CMR 700.000: Implementation of M.G.L. c. 94C, authorizes licensed pharmacists practicing in Massachusetts to prescribe and dispense medications for HIV prevention, including oral PrEP and HIV PEP, certain STI treatments and DoxyPEP. There is no requirement for pharmacists to prescribe. The guidelines provide specific prescribing components to those pharmacists who choose to prescribe.
