211 CMR 42.00 provides reasonable simplification of terms and coverage of individual accident and sickness insurance policies in order to facilitate public understanding and comparison, encourages flexibility and responsible innovation in the development of individual policies, and eliminates provisions which may be misleading, confusing or contrary to the needs of the public.
