269 CMR 6.00 sets forth requirements for locations where massage therapy is provided, in order to protect public health, safety, and welfare. Subject to certain exemptions, such locations must be covered by a massage therapy establishment license, and 269 CMR 6.00 governs the initial application, renewal, and reinstatement of establishment licenses. 269 CMR 6.00 contains various requirements, including but not limited to those relating to records retention, compliance, personnel, facility features, equipment, inspections, and discipline.
