Identifying Marine Invasive Species in Massachusetts

Find identification cards from the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management (CZM).

To help detect and monitor marine invasive species, CZM funded the development of species identification cards for marine invaders in the Gulf of Maine, which were created by Salem Sound Coastwatch. Of the 23 species presented on the cards, 16 are already established in the region, and seven are considered potential invaders. See links below for individual cards. You can also Download all 23 ID cards as a zip file (6 MB).

For a listing of these ID Cards that includes photos of the species, see the CZM Classic Site.
