Over the past year, MassHealth has received significant informal stakeholder input regarding the current design of the MassHealth personal care attendant (PCA) Program, along with suggestions about how the program could be improved. In response to this feedback, MassHealth is considering several potential enhancements to the PCA Program.
MassHealth is committed to transparent, thoughtful, and formal engagement with the PCA stakeholder community. To that end, MassHealth intends to convene a formal PCA Program Enhancements Advisory Council to work with MassHealth as it explores potential enhancements to the PCA Program.
A Notice of Opportunity to apply for participation on the PCA Program Enhancements Advisory Council will be posted on COMMBUYS in the coming weeks. The Notice of Opportunity will explain how to apply to become a member of this advisory council, and will include information regarding applicant requirements and selection criteria.
To ensure that all stakeholders can provide feedback regarding proposed enhancements to the PCA Program, MassHealth intends to hold regular public meetings that are open to all interested parties in addition to PCA Program Enhancements Advisory Council meetings. MassHealth also intends to release a Request for Information (RFI) in the near future to solicit formal written input from all interested parties on an array of topics under consideration.
Thank you for your interest in the MassHealth PCA Program and consumer direction.
