Order
It is hereby authorized that the clerks of the appellate courts may make microform copies of transcripts in their custody. Such microform copies shall be made in accordance with standards and procedures established by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court. After the completion of a microform copy which accurately reproduces the transcript and forms a durable medium for its retention, the clerk may destroy the original transcript in the regular course of business.
