Notify employees
If approved, you are responsible for informing employees about the plan and their responsibilities while it’s active, including that they need to apply for unemployment benefits and file weekly claims while they are on the WorkShare plan.
File weekly employer certifications
While a plan is active, you need to submit weekly certifications about wages paid to employees:
- Log in to Unemployment Services for Employers
- In the outstanding plan weeks panel, select begin filing plan weeks
- Follow the prompts to submit the required information
Employees also need to submit weekly benefits claims.
Continue your usual unemployment responsibilities
While a WorkShare plan is active, you are still responsible for filing quarterly wage detail reports and paying unemployment contributions.
