Guidance from the IRS on treatment of 62F refund
Last week the IRS issued guidance on the federal tax treatment of various state tax payments, including 62F refunds. The guidance is consistent with DOR’s previous guidance on the taxability of those payments. Check out the IRS release for more detail.

Entity Tax Status Certification Deadline Approaches
Save the Date: April 1, 2023, is the deadline to electronically file the annual Certification of Entity Tax Status with DOR. Annually, we publish the Corporations Book that lists corporations or business entities taxable as corporations as of January 1. The book is used by municipal assessors to determine whether entities are eligible for local personal property tax exemptions as corporations.
