Covered Buildings List for Massachusetts' Large Building Energy Reporting (LBER) policy.

Below is the current Covered Buildings List (CBL) for the Large Building Energy Reporting policy. This is the list of Buildings that have reporting obligations under LBER for Compliance Year 2026.  

Annually, DOER sends the Covered Buildings List to Utilities that provide natural gas and electric. Utility companies must report calendar year 2025 data by May 30, 2026.

Owners of buildings on the list must also report any additional Energy Usage to DOER.  Examples include propane, oil, or solar.  Building Owners with reporting requirements must report calendar year 2025 data by June 30, 2026.

Building Owners and their representatives can find their Buildings on the list below, note the listed Unique Building Identifier (UBID) assigned to their building, and use it to claim their building if they did not already do so in a prior reporting year. Claiming their building ensures that Building Owners can comply with the LBER law moving forward, manage their Buildings' record(s), and get up-to-date information on policy changes and compliance activities.
