Overview

Summit road open mid-May through mid-October. The summit of Mt. Sugarloaf offers amazing views of the Connecticut River Valley. The park is great for picnics, hiking, and mountain biking.

The auto Road will be opening on May 10, 2026

Parking

Daily parking fee charged seasonally ( May 23 through October 12) when the road open/close

MA resident  $5

Non-MA resident  $20

Resident and non resident status is determined by the vehicle license plate

Get a lifetime senior parking pass (MA residents)

    Take the View of the Valley Trail or the more challenging Pocumtuck Ridge Trail to the summit for amazing views.
