Earth Week 2025, which spans April 21 – 27, marks a time to appreciate the splendor of our planet and advance our commitment to protecting it. In the spirit of Earth Week, we encourage you to investigate and embrace opportunities to purchase products and services that lessen your climate and environmental footprint.

Environmentally Preferable Products and Services Guide

A great place to start is the Environmentally Preferable Products (EPP) and Services Guide, providing an alphabetical list of products and services across our Statewide Contracts that reduce impacts to climate, public health, and the environment.

A walk through the Product and Service Indexes offers detailed contract information with a focus on climate and the environment – for example, product attributes, related certifications and standards, and procurement recommendations.

Here are a few examples of what you will find:

  • Specifications to include when purchasing commercial-grade battery powered landscaping equipment (FAC116)
  • Environmentally preferable certifications/standards for art and instructional school supplies (OFF51)
  • Narrowed specifications on thousands of building materials and supplies FAC123/FAC124
  • Third-party certifications associated with furniture (OFF52) and environmentally preferable cleaning product (FAC118) purchases
  • Free recycling services for rechargeable batteries (OFF53)

Access the Environmentally Preferable Products and Services Guide on our website.
