501 CMR 10.00 provides guidance to critical witnesses, prosecuting officers, the judiciary, law enforcement, and the public concerning the Witness Protection Program. It also sets forth the procedures by which a prosecuting officer may petition the Witness Protection Board for assistance in protecting a witness from potential dangers related to the witness’s participation in a criminal investigation or prosecution.
