803 CMR 1.00 sets forth guidelines pertaining to the registration and classification of sex offenders, and the resulting dissemination of sex offender registry information in accordance with the law based on the offender's level of risk of reoffense and degree of dangerousness posed to the public. 803 CMR 1.00 additionally provides a process for the removal from the sex offender registry of those individuals not required to register.
