About HIP

HIP provides a dollar-for-dollar match to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) clients for each SNAP dollar spent on fruit and vegetable purchases at participating Massachusetts agricultural retailers.

Each dollar contributed by donors is placed in an expendable trust for this purpose, then directly applied to SNAP clients’ HIP incentive.

Thank you to HIP donors

The Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance, Department of Agricultural Resources, and the Department of Public Health would like to thank our generous donors for supporting HIP.
