MyMassGov for myRMV services

The Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) is changing how you access certain myRMV online services. Most individual services will require you to log in using MyMassGov.

Starting May 18, 2026, many myRMV services will require you to log in with MyMassGov, a secure way to access several state services with one account.

What's changing

If you select an individual myRMV service that requires a MyMassGov account, you’ll be taken to the MyMassGov account login page. There, you can either create an account or log in if you already have one.

Not all services will require logging in through MyMassGov. Access to business services is not changing. Examples of individual services and transactions you’ll need a MyMassGov account for include:

  • Driver’s License and Permits- Renew or replace a Driver’s License
  • Massachusetts IDs- Apply for a Real ID
  • Access my profile- Profile access
  • Renew a registration
  • View outstanding citations
