This beach has cobblestones. You may not be able to get to the water in a beach wheelchair. You will not be able to go into the water in a floating beach chair if lifeguards determine that surf conditions are too risky.
Restrictions at Horseneck Beach State Reservation
- No generators are allowed
- No dogs or other pets, with exception of service animals, allowed on beach April 1st to Sept. 15th.
- No access to sand dunes.
- No alcohol
- No littering

Beach services, including lifeguard services and public restrooms, are available from Memorial Day to Labor Day (weekends only through 6/18).
The Gooseberry Island Public Boat Launch may be accessed from W Shore Road in Westport.
Camping is available from the first week in May until Columbus Day. Camping for Massachusetts residents is $24 per night / standard non electric sites and $30 per night/ electric hookups. $70 per night for non-residents.
