Overview

At 3,491 feet, Mount Greylock is the highest point in Massachusetts. From its peak on a clear day, you can see as far as 90 miles away. No matter when you visit, there's plenty to do and see.

    The trails at Mount Greylock Reservation vary in difficulty from casual to extremely difficult. Examine the trail map to see which is right for you.
  • Camping 

    Sperry Road Campground is CLOSED for renovations
  • Snowmobiling

    During the winter months, ride snow-covered trails to the summit.
  • Hunting 

    Hunters are welcome to the reservation, but some restrictions do apply.
  • Group Visits 

    Exploring Mt. Greylock with your group can be a fun and educational experience

Restrictions

  • Hunting not allowed from May 20th to the day observed by the Commonwealth as Columbus Day, or within the War Memorial Park at any time of the year.
  • Pets must be on a leash and attended at all times.
  • No all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) or other off-road vehicle use on trails
  • No vehicles over 22 feet in length allowed on Mount Greylock Scenic Byway.
  • No drones.
  • No skate or long boarding on parkway.

Camping at Mount Greylock $8/night for Massachusetts residents and $20/night for non-residents. Group camping is $35/night for Massachusetts residents and $100/night for non-residents

Resident and non resident status is determined by the vehicle license plate
