At 3,491 feet, Mount Greylock is the highest point in Massachusetts. From its peak on a clear day, you can see as far as 90 miles away. No matter when you visit, there's plenty to do and see.

Hiking

The trails at Mount Greylock Reservation vary in difficulty from casual to extremely difficult. Examine the trail map to see which is right for you.

Camping 

The Mount Greylock Campground is only accessible by hiking, and offers 18 individual sites and 9 group sites.

Snowmobiling

During the winter months, ride snow-covered trails to the summit.

Hunting 

Hunters are welcome to the reservation, but some restrictions do apply.

Restrictions at Mount Greylock State Reservation

  • Hunting not allowed from May 20th to the day observed by the Commonwealth as Columbus Day, or within the War Memorial Park at any time of the year.
  • Pets must be on a leash and attended at all times.
  • No parking at campsites
  • No all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) or other off-road vehicle use on trails
  • No recreational vehicles over 13 feet in length allowed up summit.
