On September 9th, several representatives of the MDDC presented testimony to the Joint Committee on Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities on four pieces of legislation impacting the disability community. Their voices and lived experiences were front and center as they shared insights to help lawmakers understand the real-world effects that proposed legislation would have on Massachusetts residents with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

As part of our work, we remain committed to educating and informing lawmakers on these issues, and providing Council members with the opportunity to share their stories with decision makers on the state and federal levels.
