Board of Registration in Dentistry

We are responsible for licensing dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants for practice in the Commonwealth. This includes initial licensees and those who have licenses outside the state and want to practice here. We also issue limited and faculty dental licenses, and facility and practitioner permits for anesthesia administration.

We establish rules, regulations, and policies covering dentistry, dental hygiene and dental assisting. We monitor licensee's to ensure they follow statutes, regulations, policies, and ethical standards. We also investigate complaints against licensed dental professionals.
