103 CMR 485.00 establishes rules and regulations for the overall management of volunteer services within the Department of Correction. The Department recognizes that volunteers perform an integral role in facilitating an offender's reentry by providing a wide range of programming and services designed to reduce recidivism. Volunteer services augment existing Department programs and assist in the establishment and maintenance of community ties.
