310 CMR 15.000, Title 5 of the State Environmental Code, provides for the protection of public health, safety, welfare and the environment by requiring the proper siting, construction, upgrade, and maintenance of on-site sewage disposal systems and appropriate means for the transport and disposal of septage. The provisions of 310 CMR 15.000 should be read together with 314 CMR 5.00: Ground Water Discharge Permit Program which applies to all discharges to ground of sanitary sewage.
