The purpose of 700 CMR 6.00 is to ensure the safety of pedestrians, motorists, bicyclists, and workers on, or near, a Public Works Projects and to reduce overall costs through the effective use of Traffic Control Devices, Road Flaggers, and Police Details and through the efficient expenditure of public funds.
