Deferred Maintenance

Find information about the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance's (DCAMM's) Deferred Maintenance Program.

The DCAMM deferred maintenance program addresses the capital repair needs of Commonwealth facilities for these types of projects:

  • Boiler repair/replacement
  • HVAC repair/replacement
  • Plumbing repair/replacement
  • Exterior/interior repair
  • Roofing repair/replacement
  • Fire alarm/security systems
  • Electrical systems
  • Elevator repairs/replacement
  • Accessibility improvements

The deferred maintenance program funds projects between $10,000 to $10 million dollars by either money transfer from DCAMM to a Commonwealth agency where the agency manages the project or where DCAMM manages the project in-house.  Some of the programs goals include:

  • Assisting agencies in prioritizing, funding, and managing their deferred maintenance requests
  • Approving and tracking active projects
  • Conducting training for Commonwealth agencies
