Overview

The 3,000-acre Mount Holyoke Range State Park features a 7-mile mountain ridge line. The park also includes streams, wetlands, woods, and thickets. Visitors can explore more than 30 miles of blazed trails.

Visitor Center Hours

Winter: Thursday - Monday, 9:00AM - 4:00PM

Spring, Summer, and Fall: Daily 9:00AM – 4:00PM

Bathrooms and Lobby Open Daily 9:00AM - 4:00PM

Exhibits and Information Desk Open

Parking

Free parking is available at the Notch Visitor Center located on 1500 West Street, Amherst. Overflow parking is available on Military Road.

    The popular Seven Sisters trail is an 8-mile hike through a series of summits and lookouts to the Holyoke Summit House
  • Mountain biking

    Mount Holyoke offers miles of riding trails. Test your skills on the Serpentine or Roller Coaster trails. Popular mountain biking trails begin from Batchelor Brook Trailhead (81 Batchelor St, Granby, MA 01033) and Earl’s Trails (Military Road)

Visitor Center

Accessibility

The restrooms inside the Notch Visitor Center are open 9am-4pm daily. Porta-Jons are located on the south end of the Notch Visitor Center parking lot.

  • No all-terrain vehicles (ATVs)
  • No going off marked trails
  • No motorized vehicles
  • No off-road motorcycles or dirt bikes

Special Events/ More information

School groups, guided programs, and special events require a Special Use Permit. Fee-based programs and commercial activities conducted at the park require an additional Commercial Use Permit. For more information or questions on activities requiring permits, all inquiries can be directed to dcr.events@mass.gov.
