This dashboard shows the demographics of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts executive branch workforce. The total full-time equivalents (FTE) count for the fiscal quarter ended on September 30, 2024, was 1,896. The FTE count for part-time employees was 14, or .08%.
- The overall gender distribution was 79.7% female and 20.3% male. People of color represented 56.7% of the total workforce, while 40.4% identified as white, 1.3% were veterans, and 7.5% identified as having disabilities.
- The majority of FTEs are in the age groups 40-55 years (45.6%) and 30-40 (31.3%), representing 76.9% of the workforce.
- In the most recent fiscal quarter ending on September 30, 2024:
- We made 45 hires.
- We promoted 35 employees
- We had 34 separations, either involuntary or voluntary departures.
