Small Prime Certification

Is a subset of DCAMM's Prime Contractor Certification designed for smaller and emerging companies to obtain Contractor Certification in order to bid on smaller scale public projects between $150,000 and $500,000.

  • Documents listed on the documents checklist
  • Federal employer identification number (FEIN) and contact information for your company
  • Information for up to twenty (20) of your company’s most recent construction projects of at least $50,000 completed within the past five (5) years per category of work. Also required for projects in progress

Apply for certification using the DCAMM Contractor Management System

  1. Download these documents

    You should collect and complete these documents before you start your online application.

  2. Create a contractor account in the DCMS Portal

    In order to start your online application you must create an account in the DCAMM Contractor Management System portal

  3. Complete online application

  4. Upload all the required documents listed on small prime checklist

  5. Use the Excel spreadsheet to gather needed project information

    This spreadsheet can be used for both completed and in progress project types.  Once you have filled in the needed information you will have all the needed fields to type into the projects table in the application.

  6. Have authorized signatory sign the application

    One of the people listed on the authorized signatory listing form

  7. Submit application and pay application fee

    We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, checking and savings accounts.

    Once you submit your application, you will receive an email saying your application was submitted to DCAMM.  You are able to print an application report at anytime as you will need it for completing the update statement for public bidding.
