Government services rely on technology like never before. While this allows agencies to more effectively serve the residents of the Commonwealth, it also puts them at greater risk of data breaches and cyberattacks. Recognizing this, State Auditor Suzanne M. Bump has bolstered her office’s IT Audit Unit to help state agencies effectively use their technological resources, while protecting them and their data from unauthorized access. These audits offer recommendations to help strengthen these systems and protect state government.
