While this allows agencies to more effectively serve the residents of the Commonwealth, it also puts them at greater risk of data breaches and cyberattacks. Recognizing this, State Auditor Diana DiZoglio has bolstered her office’s IT Audit Unit to help state agencies effectively use their technological resources, while protecting them and their data from unauthorized access.
