For Massachusetts employees
What type of paid leave benefits should I apply for?
Paid Family and Medical Leave, or PFML, is a benefit program for Massachusetts workers offered by the Commonwealth. If you work in Massachusetts, you’re likely eligible to take up to 26 weeks per year of paid, job-protected time off from work when you need it most.
Find out if you qualify
Whether you work full-time, part-time, seasonal – or even, in some cases, as a 1099-MISC contractor – chances are PFML is for you. You may be able to take paid leave if you need to care for a new child, a family member who is seriously ill, or manage your own serious health condition.
