The Pesticide Board Subcommittee is responsible for registering all pesticides for use in the commonwealth. The Massachusetts Pesticide Board Subcommittee is also responsible for reviewing new active ingredients and issuing all experimental use permits.
The five member subcommittee is Chaired by the Director of the Division of Food Protection within the Department of Public Health with other four members consisting of representatives of the Department of Agricultural Resources, Department of Conservation and Recreation, Department of Public Health, and a Commercial Pesticide Applicator appointed by the Governor.
Public Comment Hearing – Individual Review of Rodenticides
The Pesticide Board Subcommittee will hold a virtual public comment hearing as part of its Individual Review of rodenticides.

Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Members of the public may provide oral comments during the hearing or submit written comments through 5:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2026.

The Eastern Research Group, Inc (“ERG”) has conducted a scientific review of rodenticides for the Pesticide Board Subcommittee. The final report is available at the link below. This scientific review will be used in a larger individual review of rodenticides to be conducted by the Pesticide Board Subcommittee.
