Massachusetts Pesticide Board Subcommittee

The Pesticide Board Subcommittee is responsible for registering all pesticides for use in the Commonwealth.

The Pesticide Board Subcommittee is responsible for registering all pesticides for use in the commonwealth.  The Massachusetts Pesticide Board Subcommittee is also responsible for reviewing new active ingredients and issuing all experimental use permits.   

The five member subcommittee is Chaired by the Director of the Division of Food Protection within the Department of Public Health with other four members consisting of representatives of the Department of Agricultural Resources,  Department of Conservation and Recreation, Department of Public Health, and a Commercial Pesticide Applicator appointed by the Governor.

The Eastern Research Group, Inc (“ERG”) is conducting a scientific review of rodenticides for the Pesticide Board Subcommittee.  This review will be used in a larger individual review of rodenticides to be conducted by the Pesticide Board Subcommittee. The ERG review is organized in three phases.

Phase One is the first of two which will outline the approach ERG will take and identifies all resources to consider for the scientific review.  This includes listing out stakeholder groups, literature/research and other information that will be reviewed.
