The Affordable Homes Act created this commission to study accessibility in housing for persons with disabilities and seniors.

The Commission is charged with examining accessibility features in residential housing that benefit persons with disabilities and seniors, including, features for individuals with physical, sensory, intellectual, mental health and neurodivergent disabilities. The Commission will also review the definition of accessibility in housing for persons with disabilities and seniors, and consider the potential financial barriers to housing for people with disabilities. After this review, the Commission will make recommendations to the Legislature.
