Extremely Low-Income (ELI) Housing Commission

The Affordable Homes Act created this commission to recommend policy, programs, and other investments to expand the supply of housing that is affordable to households earning not more than 30% of area median income (AMI).

The Commission is charged with studying approaches to expanding the supply of housing available to households earning 30% or less of area median income (AMI), reviewing the current demand and availability of housing these households can afford, and examining barriers to housing access for these households, particularly examining racial and ethnic disparities in housing access. After this review, the Commission will make recommendations to the Legislature.
