The Details

What you need

MyMassGov is used by multiple state services, including Unemployment, MassFishHunt, Child Support Services, and more. This means you may already have an account.

The first time you log into a service you've used before using your MyMassGov account, you'll need to follow the instructions to link your accounts. This makes sure that your MyMassGov account gets connected to your existing service account.

The process may be different for each service, but below are directions for linking your accounts starting from the MyMassGov login page. If you want to start from the login page of a state service, read the More Information section.

It's important to know:

  • Your MyMassGov and state service accounts should use the same email address. This will make the account linking process easier and faster.
  • You don't need to create a duplicate account with a service for which you already have an account

  1. Create a MyMassGov account if you don’t already have one.
  2. Log in to your MyMassGov account.
  3. Select the service you want to link to on the dashboard after logging in.
  4. This will open the login page for that service.
  5. Follow the prompts to connect your accounts. You may need your social security number or ITN, a claimant ID, multifactor authentication (MFA) code, or PIN depending on the state service you're linking to.

Next steps

Set up Multifactor Authentication (MFA)

Once you've linked your accounts, make sure you set up at least 2 MFA methods (text, phone call, or authenticator app). This will make it easier to access and update your account information in the future.

If you already have a MyMassGov account, you can also link your accounts by going directly to the state service login page. Log in using your MyMassGov login and follow the on-screen prompts to link your accounts.
