What you need

Many companies offer free email addresses. Popular providers include Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and Outlook. Once you choose an email provider, you’ll need to submit information such as:

  • First and last name

  • Date of birth

  • A unique email address

  • A strong password

Some providers may also ask you to provide your phone number to make sure that you have access to that phone.

How to get

  1. Choose an email provider, go to their website, and select “Create Account.”
  2. Enter the information you’re asked for.
  3. You may receive a verification code. If you do, type it in to the application to confirm.

Note: Adding a recovery email address or security questions to your new email account is recommended for extra security.

  4. Review the terms and conditions and select “Agree” to complete setup.

Your new email address is now ready to use.
