Executive Order  No. 92: Amending Executive Order 81 re Governor's Commission on the Status of Women

WHEREAS, it is desired to expand the membership of the Governor's Commission on the Status of Women;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Francis W. Sargent, Governor of the Commonwealth, by virtue of the authority vested in me as supreme executive magistrate, do hereby order as follows:

  1. Executive Order No. 81 is hereby amended by striking the first sentence of the paragraph numbered "1" and inserting in place thereof the following new sentence:--

There is hereby created a commission, to be known as the Governor's Commission on the Status of Women, to consist of forty members appointed by the Governor for terms of one year, representing, among others, the following segments of the community; business, government, labor, education, the health professions and social welfare services.

Given at the Executive Chamber in Boston this thirtieth day of June in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventy two and of the Independence of the United States of America, one hundred and ninety-sixth.
