Table of Contents
WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 54, issued August 8, 1967, established within the Massachusetts Civil Defense Agency the Office of Emergency Controls under the direction of the Director of Civil Defense and Emergency Planning; and
WHEREAS, Section 3 of said Executive Order No. 54 established within the Office of Emergency Controls certain divisions as set forth in said section; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary and appropriate to make certain changes in the number and functions of said divisions;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FRANCIS W. SARGENT, Governor of the Commonwealth, acting under the authority of Acts of 1950, Chapter 639, Sections 4, 5, 7, 8, 16 and 20 and all other enabling authority, do hereby order that Executive Order No. 54 be amended as follows:
1. Section 3 of Executive Order No. 54 is hereby amended by striking subsection "a" and substituting therefor the following:
"a. The Construction Division: construction, repair and modification of roads, large buildings, medium and heavy construction and all engineering projects and facilities."
2. Section 3 of Executive Order No. 54 is hereby further amended by striking subsection "g" and substituting the following:
"g. The Petroleum Division: petroleum and solid fuels supplies available for use in the Commonwealth."
3. Section 3 of Executive Order No. 54 is hereby further amended by striking subsection "i" and substituting therefor the following:
"i. The Housing Division: construction, repair and modification of housing facilities."
Given at the Executive Chamber in Boston this eighteenth day of April in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventy-two and of the Independence of the United States of America, the one hundred and ninety-sixth.
