Whereas, Frank J. Murray, the Administrator appointed under Executive Order No. 79, to administer, operate and manage the facilities of the Eastern Massachusetts Street Railway Company for the purpose of providing transportation facilities to the communities served by said company, advises me that the directives contained in said Executive Order No. 79 have been fully complied with, and

Whereas the public interest no longer requires that said Executive Order No. 79 be continued in force and effect,

Now, Therefore, I, Maurice J. Tobin, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, acting under the authority of the Acts of 1942, Chapter 13, Section 2, and all other authority vested in me, do hereby issue this order:

The operation and effect of the provisions of Executive Order No. 79 are hereby terminated as of October 18, 1945 at 6:00 P.M., E.S.T.

Given at the Executive Chamber in Boston, this eighteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred and forty five, and of the Independence of the United States of America, the one hundred and seventieth.
