I, Maurice J. Tobin, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, acting under the provisions of General Law (Tercentenary Edition), chapter 30, section 24, as last amended by Acts of 1945, chapter 508, and Acts 1941, chapter 719, as amended by Acts 1943, chapter 3, Acts 1942, chapter 13, sections 2 and 3, and all other authority vested in me, do hereby issue this order:

All offices of the departments, divisions, boards, commissions and officers of the state government, shall remain closed all day Monday, December 24, 1945.

GIVEN at the Executive Chamber in Boston, this eleventh day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and forty-five, and of the Independence of the United States of America, the one hundred and seventieth.
