Emergency preparedness materials

Stay aware. Be prepared.

Every home should have a basic emergency preparedness kit that can be used for any emergency. Store your kit in an area that is dry and easy to get to. Review your kit every six months to identify and replace outdated supplies. While some items should be in everyone’s kit, it is important to adapt the kit for the needs of you and your family.

Use the checklist below to customize your emergency kit to your specific needs. Share a brochure or booklet to support emergency preparedness awareness in your community.

It is intended to be used as starting point for at-risk individuals and those with access and functional needs to think about what they need to support their daily living activities during and after a disaster, and includes space to record their personalized information.
